Blackthorn 60cm - Fresh cut sticks (2ft)3cm diameter logs for crafting, Set of 5

5qty x 60cm x 3cm diameter (approximately (between 2.5 - 3.5cm))

Blackthorn has long been prized in traditional craftsmanship for its strength, density, and elegant grain. Historically valued for walking sticks, shillelaghs, and Morris dancing implements, blackthorn wood offers exceptional durability and a naturally striking appearance that deepens with age.

This set of five fresh-cut blackthorn blanks provides the ideal foundation for bespoke stick-making, tool handles, and heritage craft projects. Each piece measures 60cm in length and 5cm in diameter, with thorn tips carefully removed for safe handling. The consistent sizing ensures reliable results for both experienced craftspeople and those new to woodworking.

Blackthorn's reputation stems from its hardness and weather resistance—qualities that made it the wood of choice for traditional country crafts across the UK. Whether you're creating a walking stick, a decorative staff, or period-appropriate props, these blanks offer authentic material grounded in centuries of woodland tradition.
